Information about you: how we use it and with whom we share it
The information you provide will be used by the Scottish Policy and Research Exchange for the purpose of email communication. The project processes the personal data of people on the mailing list, in order to keep them up to date with relevant activities and outputs. To do so, we use Mailchimp as our mailing system. We may also contact you directly when we have reason to believe that a specific policy question or research output produced by a third party may be of particular interest or relevance to you. We will not give your data to that third party.
We make use of aggregated and anonymised data to monitor the usage of our website. We use Google Analytics to do so.
The information you provide will be used by the Scottish Policy and Research Exchange to:
- Keep you up to date with news both about the SPRE and related issues of policy and research engagement,
- Ensure we only communicate with you about events, materials and associated activities of interest to you
We are using information about you because you have previously asked to be added to our network. You may have done this through our website, at an event or by contacting a member of staff directly. We will not share your data with any third party. We will hold the personal data you provided us for 1 year. After this period we will send communication to you querying whether you wish to remain on our mailing list. Alternatively, you can opt out of the mailing list at any time.
Automated decision making
We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes. A human decision maker will always be involved before any decision is reached in relation to you.
