Brexit, CAP and High Nature Value Farming

Professor Davy McCracken is Head of the Hill & Mountain Research Centre at SRUC, as well as Head of the Department of Integrated Land Management. In this video, Davy discuses the CAP, its origins, and the linkages with High Nature Value Farming, and its implications for farmers in Scotland, particularly those on Less Favourable Land. He then goes on to describe what could happen post-brexit, and the potential opportunity for a revision in agricultural policy, followed by discussing the concept of ‘public goods’ and farming systems in a Scottish context.
