An independent Scottish charity for research-policy connection
The Scottish Policy and Research Exchange was founded on a simple belief: that evidence and expertise should shape the decisions that matter. We are an independent charity, led by a Co-Director model of leadership and governed by a Board of Trustees with expertise across public health, social care, research methodology, and policy development. We are based at the Edinburgh Futures Institute.
We work with researchers, institutions, and policymakers to make the connection between research and policy meaningful and lasting. Everything we do is guided by three beliefs: that evidence has a vital role in policy processes, that knowledge mobilisation works best when relationships are at its centre, and that diverse perspectives, engaged equitably, make both research and policy stronger.
